Mono Block Renewal
A high-impact upgrade that costs far less than a new driveway
Over time, mono blocks can lose their colour, the joints open up, and weeds and dirt start to take hold. A proper re-sand and resin seal can make an older driveway look dramatically newer again — bringing back a clean, uniform finish and giving the whole frontage a sharper, better-kept look.
Proteks starts with a deep clean and preparation, then re-sands the joints properly so the blocks sit tightly together and the surface looks crisp again.
We then apply a long-life resin coating that seals and stabilises the driveway, helping to lock the jointing sand in place and protect the surface from everyday wear.
If the driveway has uneven areas, sagging sections or spots that puddle after rain, we can identify and correct these issues before the final resin is applied. That means you’re not just improving appearance — you’re improving performance too.

Weeds and Water Puddling Solutions
We do our utmost to eradicate weeds from a driveway/patio, but would point out that weeds are an indicator that the original driveway was not laid out properly to begin with. We therefore cannot guarantee that weeds will be eradicated completely. For this reason, we will leave with you 5 Litres of our own weed killer. (This is not available in the shops). Please ensure you follow the safety protocols whilst using.
Water puddling on a Driveway/Patio can be because the area in question has not been laid correctly in the first instance. It is important to point these areas out to the install crew when they arrive on site. We will do our utmost to eradicate puddling, but cannot guarantee this will always be completely successful.
Step: 1
Before starting, there will be an intense pressure wash. This is to eliminate any weed growth between the blocks. After washing we see those areas that require repair and attention.
Step: 2
Repair and realign blocks. Our surveyor will discuss any issues and suggest solutions with you. All repairs will be undertaken prior to completing The Proteks System.
Step: 3
The driveway is vibrated with a Wacker plate, ensuring the sand blends between the blocks. The Proteks System allows the blocks to breathe naturally and water to drain.
Step: 4
Long-life resin seal. The Proteks resin seal will leave the driveway maintenance-free. Once treated, you can pressure wash without needing to sand again. What a difference!

Yes. We deep-clean the surface, repair and re-align uneven areas where needed, re-sand the joints, compact the blocks properly, then apply a long-life resin seal to restore a crisp, uniform finish.
Will driveway sealing stop weeds coming back?
It can significantly reduce weed growth by stabilising and sealing the joints, but weeds often relate to the original installation and conditions over time. We do our utmost to remove weeds during preparation and we’ll advise on simple steps to keep regrowth under control.
